Our Story
SmartShopper UK launched in 2026 with a straightforward mission: give every UK consumer an instant, honest view of what something costs across the country's biggest retailers. No subscriptions, no paywalls, no sign-up required.
The idea came from a frustrating afternoon spent trying to figure out whether a laptop was cheaper on Amazon, Currys, or John Lewis — only to find that by the time we'd checked all three, the Amazon price had changed. That should not be how shopping works in 2026.
Today our scrapers run every morning, pulling live prices from Amazon UK, Argos, Currys, AO.com and John Lewis. We track price history so you can see whether today's "sale" is actually a deal, and we send alerts when something you're watching drops to your target price.
What We Stand For

Every price you see is pulled directly from the retailer and timestamped. We never inflate or manipulate figures — what you see is exactly what the retailer is charging right now.
